Building a Sustainable National Infrastructure for Dissemination of Improved Behavioral Health Treatment Practices

NIATx is working on an NIH grant application to create an infrastructure and a network of providers to engage in research on dissemination and adoption of evidence-based practices. The current grant is limited to developing the infrastructure and network that will allow us to access future funds to conduct research. We are interested in having as many of you as we can participate in the network. Being part of the network will provide the opportunity, but not a guarantee, of participating in future projects.

If you are interested, we would like a letter of support by November 30. We have drafted a sample letter of support that you can cut and paste onto your letterhead.

We have also posted a draft of the grant application. Please feel free to comment or add your thoughts by writing to us at info@niatx.net.

  1. This is an exciting opportunity, and I'd like to link to it on the Reclaimng Futures blog or Facebook page. But if I worked for a treatment provider, I'd be hesitant to commit without some estimate of the time and staff commitment needed. Do you have any thoughts on this?

  2. The commitment is to participate in the network. Providers would have the opportunity to refuse participation in specific research grant opportunities that come out of the network. What we will be asking from all providers is ideas about what research needs to be done and feedback on our research proposals and active participation in the research development process when they have an interest in a particular project. The time commitment is fluid and up to the provider.

That said, we'd appreciate re-posting on the Reclaiming Futures blog.
